Once upon a time our MD Kath bid for a Usian Bolt signed shirt and won it! This led to her meeting the organiser of the 'City Of Good' auction - Nicolas Jayr from BBH whom she then introduced to our editor Phil Hignett to cut this incredibly powerful short film documentary directed by Klaus Thymann at Great Guns.
It focuses on the homeless children and adolescents that currently live on the streets in the coastal city of Recife in Brazil. These children are exposed to violence, drugs, gangs and prostitution every day of their lives and the film highlights the positive work of the NGO in Brazil - Grupo Ruas e Praças who offer support and love to these children.
The project was part of The International Exchange (T.I.E) program founded by Phillipa White, which BBH has been a partner of since 2010 and was funded by the City Of Good (www.cityofgood.me) initiative that Nicolas created to raise money for the project.
